Name: James Morgan
Appearance Age: Early 30s
True Age: 176
Physical Appearance:
Morgan is a physically imposing man. He is muscular as well as tall, being approximately six foot and three inches; he walks with the air of a highly confident man. He is not particularly good looking; his lank muddy blond hair falls down just above his light blue eyes.
He has a number of superficial scars on his face and body, remnants of his time as a human at war.
Morgan often wears smart casual clothing, now that he has the money to afford it. Generally wearing plain coloured suits yet no tie. He is neat and tidy at most times.
Weapons:
Morgan is proficient with the cavalry sabre, rifle and handgun; he's grown up with guns and is comfortable with using them. He has also kept up with the modern developments of such. He always carries at least one handgun, generally two. He rarely carries his sabre with him, mainly because of the undue attention that it brings.
Personality:
Morgan cares nothing for anyone but himself. If it seems that if he helps someone, it will be solely because he feels it would be advantageous to his own ends. Winning is everything to him, he will strive to further his own interests, unmindful of the costs to those around him.
He is a strong leader and is used to having his orders followed without question. If not, then he is liable to become angry easily. His temper is both quick and violent.
History:
The majority of soldiers join an army for a reason, be it defending their beliefs, country or their families. This was not so with Morgan. He joined for the sole reason that he enjoyed killing and he had nothing better to do.
His strong ambition and competent ability meant that he rose through the ranks until he reached the level of captain. Morgan's leadership was strong, but brutal. His men followed him out of a mixture of fear and awe. His troop comprised mainly of the survivors of other skirmishes, like-minded men with dubious morals.
On one occasion, he came across a farming family. He was certain that they were harbouring an enemy spy; he just did not have the proof to catch them in their lies. His lack of evidence did not stop him beating out the information from the frightened farmers and slaughtering them as punishment. He was right, of course.
His brutality may have been covered by the war in which he fought; yet it did not escape the attention of a vampire who had need of a man such as Morgan. When faced with the prospect of losing his soul in exchange for power beyond his imagination, he agreed readily.
During the intervening years, Morgan spent his time travelling around America. He settled in Los Angeles. However, after a falling out with the vampire ruler of the city, Morgan was exiled; sentenced to final death if he should ever return.
