Name: Sebastian Greenfield
Apparent Age: Very difficult to tell. He was turned at about 20 years of age.
True Age: Mid 50's
Physical Appearance: like a reject from a leper colony. He bears the same deformities that affect his sire and all siblings. He usually wears baggy clothing, always wears a hood or a cap pulled over his face, looking like a homeless person.
Weapons: Small handgun that is easily concealed inside his coat.
Personality:
Sebastian follows his master’s bidding without question; partly because on the whole, he enjoys his work and partly because he fears the punishment of failure. His master’s hold on him has a little more to it than Sebastian’s loyal personality. Morton Smith exerts a little mental pressure on his offspring in order to ensure absolute loyalty, although Sebastian himself is unaware of this. Sebastian also harbours some bitter thoughts regarding his disfigurement.
With regards to the moral struggle between the vampires of the Order and those opposed to it, Sebastian officially takes his sire’s viewpoint of remaining firmly on neutral territory. Smith and his children are therefore able to work with members of either group without too much trouble. However on a personal basis Sebastian tends to lean towards the humanity side.
History:
Sebastian himself regards his human life as unimportant. He grew up on the outskirts of the city of London. His father passed away when he was very young, in fact he has no memory of him whatsoever. When he was fourteen years old, he had a bitter argument with his mother’s current boyfriend. He left home that night, living on the streets in central London. It wasn’t long before they stopped looking and he became just another one of the city’s lost children.
He survived by doing small jobs for drug dealers and other shady characters. Sebastian excelled at gathering information; he knew the right questions to ask the right people, always knowing where the police would strike next. Gradually, he climbed the social ladder of the street until he became aware of a shadowy group, one that although small, seemed to inspire fear in the local drug dealers and the police alike. Intrigued, Sebastian began to investigate the group, determined to find out more.
Sebastian was caught easily and brought inside the building that he had been watching. He was brought into a small, dark office before a man whose face was entirely shadowed by a dark hood like that of a monk. The man introduced himself as Morton Smith, without revealing his face from behind the hood. Sebastian has little recollection of what was said that night, but it must have been enough because not only was his life spared, he was given a job offer. Sebastian accepted the job without much deliberation and the man approached him, pulling back his hood to reveal the most hideous face that Sebastian had ever even imagined.
When he awoke, Sebastian realised that he had changed. Not only was he a vampire, his face was now so horrifically deformed that he would make even the strongest mentally of humans shrink back with a shriek of terror. Sebastian now lives in the sewers, venturing out to perform the various duties of his master and feed. With some training, he has now developed the ability to project an image of his old face to enable him to travel in the outside world, however it merely affects the minds of those who look at him. Any strong mind would see through his deception, cameras are also not affected. Also if he looses his concentration, the illusion fails.
